sorry i've been m.i.a. with the updates - we got back late last night from 6 days in seattle - and because i'm an architecture geek and this is an architecture-related blog, here are some of my favorite photos...
the hotel/conference center where we stayed (northwestern style architecture)...
pike place market -
the famous fish-throwing stall. i couldn't get any actual fish in the air though...
the seattle public library by rem koolhaas (oma)...
(i call this one "the womb")
clearly i don't have to tell you what this is...
(we got really lucky with the weather)
and gehry's experience music project...
seattle city hall by bohlin cywinski jackson...
dale chihuly chandelier in the benaroya symphony hall...
so, it will be back on the house work train this weekend.

Oh I love it! I need to go to Seattle!
Hey, if you are interested, I tagged you on my blog. Go check out the questions!
I cannot even tell you how much I'm obsessed with Seattle's library -- so jel that you got to see it in person. Our pub library is trying to copy their model but keeping with the beaux arts structure and it's just not gell-ing (is that a word?) IMO.
gorgeous photos of your trip, I love the one of the sunlight streaming in the hallway. What do you shoot with?
kts - i'm just shooting with a pentax optio 550 digital camera. i would love to get a digital SLR one day (and my non-digital SLR crapped out on me so maybe one of those too - along with my own darkroom), but these days excessive funds and time are dedicated to the house and not hobbies. also why i don't yet own a sewing machine.
